Chloe Edwards Named NFCA Softball All-American
Louisville, KY – Surry's Chloe Edwards has been named a National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III First Team All-American, capping a standout season in 2025 with one of the sport's highest honors.
Edwards, a sophomore from Hays and graduate of North Wilkes high school played a pivotal role in Surry's NJCAA World Series run. She was recognized among the nation's top junior college athletes as the NFCA released its annual All-America teams. Edwards earned NFCA All-America honors as a third baseman.
Edwards had a stellar season at the plate for the Lady Knights with a .415 batting average collecting 68 hits including 11 doubles and 7 homeruns. In addition, she scored 42 runs while driving in 50 on the season. In addition, Edwards earned Region 10 First-Team honors as an infielder.
Edwards' offensive production was a driving force for Surry, consistently delivering in key moments and helping the Lady Knights capture the Region 10 championship and the Appalachian District Championship. Edwards earned NJCAA All-Tournament accolades in helping Surry to a 5th place finish at the NJCAA Division III World Series.
The NFCA All-America teams are selected annually to honor the best players across the nation in each division. Being named to this elite group places Edwards among the top echelon of junior college softball athletes. The 2025 class featured thirteen players from six schools, with Edwards standing out as Surry's representative on the prestigious list.
